Meet the Team: Anirban Ghosh, Sales Director

As Sales Director, Anirban leverages his experience in supply chain finance to assist businesses across the credit spectrum with finding the best working capital solution to meet their unique needs.

Anirban works to enhance cash flow, improve working capital metrics, and strengthen supply chains for clients by identifying how Raistone can best serve their business with embedded finance solutions.

After earning his MBA from the University of Texas at Austin, Anirban began his career at Citibank, transitioning from an internship to a full-time role in supply chain finance (SCF).

During his time there, Anirban gained significant experience in SCF, particularly focusing on payables finance. This was also where he met some of his future Raistone colleagues, including CEO Dave Skirzenski.

He later built on his expertise through roles at major Japanese banks, Mizuho and Sumitomo, bringing over 15 years of experience when he joined the Raistone team.

In his previous roles, Anirban focused primarily on Fortune 500 companies. “I was working to implement working capital solutions that would strengthen their supply chain and boost their free cash flow position. However, most of these solutions were focused on supporting a small number of critically large suppliers,” he said.

Part of what drew him to Raistone was the company’s proprietary technology and embedded finance tools, which help equalize access to working capital for businesses of all sizes.

“With the advent of technology and embedded finance strategies, it’s possible to offer working capital solutions to all suppliers across the supply chain, ensuring we provide liquidity to those smaller suppliers who probably need it the most,” he said.

He acts as a liaison between clients and various internal departments, working to fine-tune and implement relevant working capital solutions.

“It’s great to be on a team that’s extremely driven, with subject matter experts in trade finance,” he shared. “There’s also an overwhelming sense of teamwork, which I really enjoy because nothing gets done alone. You have to work as a team.”

As Anirban continues his journey at Raistone, he’s looking forward to leveraging technology and working with the Alliances team to implement embedded finance tools with partner platforms.

Having been born in Mauritius, raised in Sultanate of Oman, and a longtime resident of Spain prior to moving to the U.S., Anirban is also passionate about international trade and how trade finance solutions can boost cross-border transactions.

When he’s not working, Anirban can be found playing or watching soccer, enjoying the Game of Thrones series, or heading to the airport to begin his next adventure. As an avid traveler, Anirban has been to over 40 countries and plans to keep that number growing.
